The book of Hebrews is a rich exposition of the person and work of Christ, proving to its readers that what came before in the Old Covenant has truly found its completion in him. In this way Hebrews shows us the magnificence of God’s plan throughout the ages culminating in Christ, and it gives us a greater vision of the supremacy and glory of our Savior and significance of what He has done for us.

But Hebrews is more than just an exposition of rich Christology. It is also a call to faithful endurance in this divine message we have received. Christ Jesus is our sufficient Savior and he has gone before, so we must hold fast to him. Though we face various trials in this life, our confidence must remain in him and the promises we have been given through him.
