When it comes to reading the Bible, Christians are to strive for accurately handling the word of truth. We aren’t looking for a personal subjective meaning in each text (ie, ’this is what this passage means to me’), but instead, we are looking to understand the objective truth of the passage and then we can move on to what it means for us. And that what this class is all about.
During our time together we will be developing and sharpening our skills in reading and understanding Scripture. It will be an interactive class where we first learn a principle of interpretation then work together to apply it in a particular section of Scripture. Whether you consider yourself a beginner or novice at reading and understanding Scripture, you will benefit from this class.
